What are you going to do about the house?
We have put a lot of thought into this. It's a nice house!
We want to live here when we get back. We could rent it for a tidy sum. Could? Should? No. We've decided to rent the top floor only. Our belongings will stay on the bottom floor. (Whew, no moving vans!). The couple who are renting the house will take care of our things, keep up the yard and generally make sure that everything is in place when we get home. There's less income from rent, but we'll make enough to pay the taxes, and we won't have to worry about it while we are away.
Would you want to pack all this stuff? Note the new bookshelves in the basement!
